Very expected game when 9th rankedSpirou Charleroi (3-3) was smashed by top-ranked Kangoeroes (5-0) in Mechelen 118-83 on Saturday. Mechelen shot 61.5 percent from the field and made 26-of-28 free shots (92.9 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Mechelen looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American-Nigerian guard Tobi Ewuosho (196-1997, college: Alabama St.) notched 27 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Joshua Heath (186-1994, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 13 points and 13 assists. Five Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Even 27 points by American point guard Chris Lykes (169-1998, college: Arkansas) did not help to save the game for Charleroi . His fellow American import forward Juwan Gary (198-2001, college: Nebraska) added 14 points and 9 rebounds. Spirou Charleroi's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Kangoeroes have an impressive five-game winning streak. Mechelen moved-up to second place. Loser Spirou Charleroi keeps the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Brussels and Limburg.
